Ann Kimmage: Since receiving my Kripalu teacher certification in 2002 I have taught yoga at Plattsburgh State, USM, and Bowdoin, in fitness centers, yoga studios, and in several corporations, including Down East Energy. I have my certification in Stress Management and yoga therapy for cardiac and cancer patients. My passion for yoga is rooted in its transformational and healing potential. I am currently working on a yoga memoir Let the Body Speak and in 2008 I will be teaching a seminar at the Jung Center titled Philosophy and Practice of Yoga. I want my students to leave yoga class refreshed, energized, relaxed, and smiling.
Dennis Kimmage: The ancient yogis said you're really not ready to get the most out of yoga until your 50s. I qualified for that status when I started yoga a number of years ago, ultimately getting Kripalu teacher certification in 2005. Since then I've had lots of experience teaching yoga at several local studios, Merrymeeting Adult Ed, Bowdoin College, LL Bean, and DownEast Energy. I love exploring and practicing different styles of yoga, from gentle Kripalu to vigorous Vinyasa-style flows and making them as accessible as possible. My objective is always to share the gift of yoga with my students, the gift of vitality and youthful feeling that transcends age.
